Spencer Neal, AIF®
As a founding member of Leading Edge Wealth Advisors, Spencer specializes in providing clients with expert retirement planning and wealth management advice. He brings more than twenty years of experience and a unique passion for financial services to the group, becoming interested in investing at a young age because his parents stressed the importance of saving.
Spencer is a graduate of Clemson University and received a Certificate of Financial Planning from the Florida Institute of Technology in 2001. In addition, he has earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® designation.
Originally from Birmingham, Michigan, Spencer is now a cycling and golf enthusiast living in Millersville, with his wife Rachel and their three children — Jackson, Lauren, and Cameron.
James Denora, CPA, CFP®
As a founding member of Leading Edge Wealth Advisors, Jim specializes in providing clients with comprehensive advice by helping to educate them and by evaluating their financial situation on an ongoing basis. He utilizes his corporate finance background to treat each family’s finances as he would a business.
Prior to establishing Leading Edge Wealth Advisors, Jim was a founding partner in Severn Financial Group. He previously held senior-level corporate financial positions at several Washington, DC-area companies
He is a graduate of St. Francis College in Loretto, PA and later earned a Master of Business Administration degree from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. In addition, he is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Financial PlannerTM professional. The New Jersey native has lived in Annapolis for over twenty years with his wife Sherri and their two children, Abigail and Joseph.
Shar Gogerdchi, CFP®
Shar’s commitment to Financial Planning is evident in his passion for delivering high level personal service and customized client solutions. Shar helps individual clients and small business owners achieve their financial goals. Whether those goals are complex or just getting started, being a Certified Financial PlannerTM professional makes him uniquely qualified to help clients navigate all of life’s financial decisions.
Shar brings more than fifteen years of experience to the firm. Prior to dedicating his full time to serving as a financial planner and subsequently joining Leading Edge Wealth Advisors, Shar spent nearly four years in public service, working to enforce and uphold the standards for the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards (CFP Board), a non-profit organization headquartered in Washington D.C.
Shar grew up in Annapolis and is a University of Maryland alumnus with a degree in Economics. Shar and his wife, Donna, returned to Annapolis a few years ago to raise their two young kids, Eilah and Donnie.
Through a partnership with our independent broker-dealer, Cambridge Investment Research, Inc., we have access to a team of virtual office assistants who allow us to spend more time with our clients by taking on some of our administrative tasks. Susan Haynes joined Cambridge in 2018. In her current role, Susan assists financial advisors with administrative responsibilities including account management, reporting and planning, communication, and client management. She currently lives in southeast Iowa, where she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
